The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on August 24, 2026, issued the Draft Bakloh Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Bakloh Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026 establish standardized regulations for land use, construction, and urban planning within the limits of Bakloh Cantonment.
•Published by the Ministry of Defence under Section 251 of the Cantonments Act, 2006, these draft bye-laws supersede the earlier notification from 1950.
•They define critical technical terms, structural definitions, and application procedures for constructing, altering, or adding to buildings.
• The aim is to balance development with municipal administration in the cantonment area.
Any person interested in making any objections or suggestions may in 30 days from September 08, 2026.
